Mounjaro Injections For Weight Loss

Mounjaro injections for weight loss belong to the class of medications called tirzepatides. Mounjaro has shown to be more effective than Semaglutides and Ozempic in weight reduction in clinical trails. 

Mounjaro like Ozempic is a weekly injection approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. This class of medication works on two peptides called GIP and GLP-1. 

In clinical trials Mounjaro has shown to have a greater weight loss reduction compared to Ozempic with a 20% weight reduction compared to 15% for ozempic. 

The maximum dosing approved for Ozempic is 2mg but Mounjaro can be titrated to higher levels. The maximum dosage for Mounjaro is 15mg. Both Mounjaro and Ozempic have higher weight loss effects at the higher dosages. 

 

Mounjaro Dosing

  1. The starting dose of Mounjaro is 2.5 mg once weekly.
  2. To be increased by 2.5 to 5 mg every 4 weeks.
  3. The maximum dose for weight loss management is 15 mg once per week.
  4. Increasing the dosage gradually allows the body to adjust and may limit side effects. Once target weight is achieved, doses can be titrated down based on appetite and hunger.
